Deanna Frances is an author, journalist, musician, and educator from northern Illinois. She graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2018, where she earned a B.M. in Music Education and a B.M. in Vocal Performance. She also served as an arts and entertainment writer and reviewer for the university newspaper, The Northern Star. Her first novel, Taking Chances, was published in 2013, and she continues to write as a freelance journalist and photographer for local newspapers. She currently resides near her hometown and teaches music.
